Security & Privacy Policy

The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study is committed to protecting the privacy of users of the On-line Fellowship Application Portal. We do maintain standard logs that provide information on the number of users, the domain names and IP addresses of users, the Web site files accessed, and other items. This information does not identify individual users and is used to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. Personal information that is provided by the user for a specific purpose (e.g., for mailing of a publication) is used only for the stated purpose; it is not made available to any other parties. The information provided is used to process fellowship applications. The Radcliffe Institute may use the aggregate data collected for statistical research, including analyses of trends, and for reporting.

Data transmitted through the Radcliffe Institute On-line Fellowship Application Portal is encrypted through the Secure Socket Layer protocol. The site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
